Local Magnetic Field - May 16, 2012 To October 30, 2012

Following is a day by day display of the Local Magnetic Field from May 16, 2012 to the most current activity. The first 3 graphs are prior to the anomaly and are included as a reference - they would be considered typical. The anomaly begins on May 19 and. continues to fluctuate or remain at abnormally high levels.

Is there more to come? Is something unusual going on?

Go to USGS  for earthquake information SPACE.COM  for Solar activity, EARTHFILES  for more information.

Although there has been quite a lot of earthquake and weather activity going on during the time period of these data postings, it really doesn't qualify as proof that the Earth is undergoing change due to magnetic field activity (or other sources for that matter). There is no doubt that the field has been behaving in an abnormal way. That being said, there is enough going on that we should be observing events from a different perspective than we have been and need to be asking some new questions.

I really don't want to jump to any conclusions. There just isn't enough data yet to develop a theory. Still, we should all be keeping open minds and sharing whatever empirical data people are collecting.
